Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the MUN-Key platform ("Service", "Platform"), operated by MUN-Key ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must immediately cease all access and use of the Platform.

2. Intellectual Property & Anti-Reverse Engineering

All title, ownership rights, and intellectual property rights in and to the MUN-Key platform—including but not limited to source code, object code, software architecture, user interface (UI) designs, graphics, branding, domain names, logos, workflows, and underlying algorithms—are and remain the sole property of MUN-Key.

You explicitly agree that you shall not, directly or indirectly:

• Copy, modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based upon the Platform or any portion thereof.
• Decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, decrypt, or otherwise attempt to discover or extract the source code or underlying structure of the Platform.
• Distribute, license, sublicense, sell, rent, lease, mirror, or frame any part of the Platform to any third party.
• Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Platform using automated bots, tools, or scripts without prior written authorization.

3. Anti-Impersonation & Acceptable Conduct

You agree to use MUN-Key strictly for lawful Model United Nations simulation purposes. You are strictly prohibited from:

• Impersonating MUN-Key, its founders, team members, staff, administrators, or official representatives.
• Misrepresenting your identity, academic affiliation, committee assignment, or role within a conference session.
• Attempting to interfere with, alter, or breach the security, authentication protocols, or session management systems of the Platform.
• Uploading or linking to documents that contain malicious code, viruses, or illegal material.
• Harvesting, collecting, or abusing the email addresses of other delegates or Chairs made visible through the QuickShare or session logging features for sending unsolicited communications or spam.

4. Platform Governance & Session Administration

MUN-Key provides tools to facilitate educational simulations. Users designated as Chairs or Administrators possess unilateral authority over their respective conference sessions, including the authority to moderate debate, manage agendas, and remove disruptive users. MUN-Key is not liable for moderation decisions made by session Chairs.

5. Google Drive Integration & File Permissions

MUN-Key integrates with the Google Picker API to allow users to select documents directly from their personal Google Drive accounts. By importing or sharing a document via the Platform, you explicitly authorize MUN-Key to programmatically modify the document's Google Drive sharing permissions on your behalf (such as updating the file to "Anyone with the link can view" or granting specific edit access to designated participants).

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the legal right and authority to alter the privacy settings of any document you select. MUN-Key is not liable for any unauthorized disclosure, privacy breaches, or unwanted public visibility resulting from permission changes requested by you during a conference session. Your use of Google Drive features remains subject to Google's Terms of Service.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL MUN-Key, ITS OPERATORS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNATIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, GOODWILL, OR CONFERENCES INTERRUPTIONS) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM.

OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY AND ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM SHALL BE STRICTLY LIMITED TO $10.00 USD OR THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US TO USE THE SERVICE IN THE PAST TWELVE (12) MONTHS, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

8. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless MUN-Key from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and legal fees arising out of your violation of these Terms or your unauthorized sharing of copyrighted, illegal, or malicious materials via the Google Picker integration.
